Shimen Kite Park

Shimen Kite Park is located in Shimen District near the Laomei Community. Established in 2006, the six-hectare park is the only kite park in Taiwan. It is also one of the best places in Southeast Asia for kite flying and a venue for international kite competitions. The park has earned Shimen a title as the "Land of Kites." Thousands of people come to the park during the annual Shimen Kite Festival to enjoy the fun as professional kite fliers from across the globe turn the skies over Shimen into a colorful tapestry.
