The Taiwan Tourism Bureau announced the 2018-19 40 Degrees of Serenity” campaign on November 6 in the Mayor’s Residence Art Salon in Taipei. This campaign sees the promotion of hot spring-related travel and is a part of the Tourism Bureau’s wider Taiwan Small Town Ramble campaign, a campaign sees the duration of Taiwan Hot Spring’s activities being extended from 3 months to 6.
Present at the announcement were Zhou Yonghui, Director of the Tourism Bureau, Lee Chi-Tien, Director of The Hot Spring Association Taiwan, Zhou Shuimei, Chairman of the Taiwan Asia Pacific International Hot Spring Travel Association and well-known Taiwanese travel expert Lin Long. Each put forward ideas for hot spring-related travel in Taiwan, the goal of which is to encourage people to enjoy Taiwan's world-class hot springs. With the tagline “Travel in Bliss,” the campaign introduces 19 locations throughout Taiwan and introduces local seasonal flavors and encourages visitors to stop and take in the serene essence of Taiwan's hot spring towns as a part of the Tourism Bureau's Taiwan Small Town Ramble campaign.
From November 6 until April of next year, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau will hold a series of activities to promote hot spring tourism in Taiwan. Among these activities are the Vlog and Photo Submission activities, in which participants are eligible for a chance to win a free stay at a Taiwanese hot spring hotel. There is also the “Vote for Your Favorite Hot Spring Area,” which offers winners the possibility to win an iPhone Xr and a hot spring hotel or bathing voucher. Participants who visit each of Taiwan’s four hot spring regions will also have the opportunity come home with a Gogoro S! The Tourism Bureau strongly encourages visitors to try out Taiwan’s world-class hot springs and benefit from the fact that over 100 hot spring proprietors across Taiwan are participating in this activity.
